The military encampment of Lu Su

Located in L楼 Township on the eastern outskirts of Bengbu City. Legend has it that during the Three Kingdoms period, the famous Eastern Wu general Lu Su, while contesting the Jianghuai region with Cao Cao, once stationed his troops here. The encampment was situated on two hilltops. To this day, there remain four large pits, said to have been the armory and granary used by Lu Su’s forces at the time; the Meicun village at the foot of the hills was where Lu Su lived during that period. At the entrance of the village, there still stands an ancient well, its mouth carved from a massive stone.
