Visit the Juming Museum of Art during the Spring Festival: Free admission for Dragon-year visitors and lucky red envelopes & gift bags

The Juming Museum of Art will be open as usual starting from the first day of the Lunar New Year (1/23), and from the 1st to the 7th day of the New Year, it will launch the “Find the Descendants of the Dragon” and “Red Envelopes Every Day” events. All those born in the Year of the Dragon or whose names contain the character “龙” (dragon)—the so-called “Dragon Children”—can enjoy free admission upon presenting valid ID. Moreover, the first 100 visitors who purchase tickets during this period will receive a red envelope bag containing discount vouchers for art merchandise and dining at the museum.

 

Additionally, there are 100 limited-edition “Year of the Dragon Art Fortune Bags” available for sale at the Juming Museum of Art’s shopping street. The fortune bags are priced at two levels: NT$660 and NT$1,200. The top prize in the fortune bags is a scaled-down replica of Mr. Juming’s 1996 work “Guan Gong,” originally priced at NT$8,500.

 

For those looking for unique Spring Festival couplets, Professor Wu Shunling, the museum director with a Ph.D. in Chinese literature, profound literary accomplishments, and years of calligraphy practice, will personally write and give away single-character Spring Festival couplets to visitors from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the first day of the New Year. If you are a member of Friends of the Juming Museum, you can bring one guest for free admission on the second day of the New Year by showing your membership card.

 

The Juming Museum of Art is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM from November to April, and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from May to October. It underwent year-end maintenance from 1/9 to 1/22, 2012, and will reopen as usual on 1/23, the first day of the Lunar New Year.
