The Bengbu Science and Technology Museum serves as a base for science education and patriotic education.

The Bengbu Science and Technology Museum officially opened in June 1984. It was the first science and technology museum in Anhui Province and one of only six such museums in China at the time. Over the years, the museum has adhered to its mission of serving science education, the public, and young people. Through organizing free visits for primary and secondary school students, hosting thematic exhibitions, and conducting themed activities, it has provided patriotic education, revolutionary tradition education, and science popularization for young people and the general public, with an average annual opening of more than 250 days. In addition to its permanent exhibitions, the museum has successively held large-scale picture exhibitions such as "Know Water, Understand Water, Talk About Water Conservation," "Advocate Science and Civilization, Oppose Superstition and Ignorance," and "Scientific Outlook on Development: The Chapter on Harmonious Development Between Humans and Nature." It has also hosted science exhibitions like "The Mysteries of the Universe," major thematic exhibitions such as "Save Energy, Protect the Environment – A Nationwide Campaign for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction," series exhibitions including "Ancient Chinese Science and Technology," "Achievements of 20th Century Science and Technology and the Outlook for 21st Century Science," and knowledge exhibitions like "Advocate a Low-Carbon Lifestyle, Maintain Ecological Balance," cumulatively receiving over 100,000 visitors. To further expand the scope of exhibition and education, the museum has launched special science outreach programs such as the summer "Square Science Night Market" and the "Mobile Science Museum Entering Schools, Communities, and Military Camps." Visitors to the science night market can enjoy screenings of classic patriotic education films and experience the interactive fun of various science exhibits. The "Mobile Science Museum" initiative brings portable science exhibits to over forty schools, communities, and military academies across three urban counties, providing nearly a hundred patriotic education films and dozens of interactive mobile science exhibits for free, thereby directing science outreach efforts toward areas with relatively limited access to such resources.
