The Starry Five Continents Tourism Resort is located in Tianjia Lake Scenic Area, BaliTai Town, Jinnan District, Tianjin. Situated at the center of the Bohai Rim and the lower reaches of the Haihe River circular tourism economic belt, it is one of the eight leisure scenic areas planned by Tianjin and has been listed as a key municipal project by the Municipal Construction Commission and the Municipal Development and Reform Commission. Constructed on the site of the former Jinnan Reservoir and taking advantage of the vast waters of Tianjia Lake, the resort innovatively built a 4,100-acre landmass on a 11,000-acre lake surface, with 7,000 acres of water area slightly larger than that of Hangzhou’s West Lake, forming an expansive 7.3-square-kilometer “floating city on water” that is truly unique in China. While respecting the original ecological environment, the project proportionally scaled down and adjusted the world map, thereby creating geographical representations of the world’s five continents. Asia-Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Oceania each feature distinctive architecture, culture, landscapes, cuisine, and local customs, establishing a “World Architecture Expo,” “World Bridges Expo,” “World Gardens Expo,” “World Sculptures Expo,” and “World Proverbs Expo.” This is the world map within China’s territory and also an irreplaceable unique advantage.

The Starry Five Continents Tourism Resort was invested in by Tianjin Starry Investment Co., Ltd., with master planning and design by the Australian U/A Design Group. It was jointly developed by over 10 internationally renowned architectural masters including Richard Meier and Michael Sorkin, along with several top international architecture and landscape design firms, to create a super-comprehensive international tourism, resort, and residential community.

The Starry Five Continents Resort plans to build 400,000 square meters of world-class leisure and entertainment facilities, including: the world’s most comfortable seven-star 360° all-water-view luxury hotel, China’s largest circular music fountain built with tens of millions of yuan, a Peace Square for 10,000 people covering about 30,000 square meters, distinctive cultural squares for each continent that can host thousands, a large-scale water amusement center, a global cuisine dining center, an indoor comprehensive sports complex, an international film and entertainment club, themed commercial pedestrian streets, lakeside bar streets, intercontinental landscape sports parks, intercontinental yacht clubs, seven-star corporate clubs, a one-stop education system comprising first-class kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools, a 20,000-square-meter supermarket, as well as hospitals, post offices, banks, and other living facilities equipped with top-tier medical equipment. These public facilities are mainly concentrated in the North American section. Currently, the music fountain, Peace Square, sports park, yacht club, and entrepreneurs’ club have been completed and put into use.

The project fully leverages the unique ecological advantages of Tianjia Lake to carefully create a “world-class leisure platform, international residential community, and global tourist destination.” The completion of the project will drive the development and construction of Jinnan District, help enhance the visibility of Tianjin and Jinnan District, provide numerous job opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the tourism and service industries in both Jinnan District and Tianjin.

BaliTai Town: Located in the western part of Jinnan District, Tianjin, BaliTai Town borders Tianjin Port and Tianjin Binhai International Airport to the east, the Tianjin Petrochemical Industrial Zone to the south, Xiqing District to the west, and downtown Tianjin to the north, just 3 kilometers from Xianshuigu Town, the seat of the district government. Covering a total area of 112.96 square kilometers with a population of 48,000, the town governs 15 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee. It is the largest town in the district in terms of land area and boasts abundant land and labor resources.
