Luyang City Ring Park

The City Ring Park is situated in the eastern section of Ma'anshan Road in Hefei City. It was formed after the liberation by tearing down the ancient city wall and converting the ring road into landscaped greenery, including the ring road, the green belts along both sides, and the full perimeter of the moat. The park is divided into eight smaller scenic zones (commonly called "parks"): Xiaoyaojin Park, Huandong (also known as Riverside) Park, Baohe Park, Yinhe Park, Xishan Park, Huanxi (also known as Heishuiba) Park, Xinghuacun Park, and Huabei Park. Covering an area of 3.4 square kilometers and stretching 8.7 kilometers in total length, the park boasts numerous attractions, each with its own unique features. Huaxi and Yinhe are noted for their water scenery, Xishan for its sculptures, Xiaoyaojin and Baohe for their cultural and historical sites, and Huabei for its rustic charm. Within each zone, cultural landmarks blend seamlessly with natural landscapes, offering a dynamic mix of movement and stillness, ancient and modern elements. Small bridges, flowing streams, rockeries, and lush trees create a harmonious and picturesque scene. The entire loop forms a large, open artificial garden that serves multiple functions—ecological, aesthetic, and recreational. The blooming flowers and green trees in each zone form a series of emerald necklaces encircling the city, earning Hefei the reputation of being a "green city." It is one of Hefei’s premier tourist destinations.
