Dabie Mountain Martyrs' Memorial Park is situated by Jiudun Pond in the city center of Lu'an. Originally named "Western Anhui Martyrs' Cemetery," it was first built in 1953. It is among the second batch of "National Key Martyrs' Memorial Buildings Protection Units" and was designated as a "National Patriotic Education Base" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. In 2004, the municipal government invested 55 million yuan to carry out a complete renovation of the park. Covering an area of 85 mu, the park is surrounded by water on all sides and connected to the bustling city via four bridges. Stepping into the memorial park is like entering an ecological garden, with towering cedar trees, evergreen cypresses, blooming flowers, and a spring-like atmosphere all year round. Memorial facilities such as the Martyrs' Tower, the statue of General Xu Jishen, the main sculpture, and commemorative stone carvings are nestled within, exuding solemnity and grandeur. The mourning square and the flower-protecting wall are spacious, continuous, and thoughtfully arranged. The entire park serves not only as a traditional education base for paying tribute to martyrs and inspiring future generations but also as a cultural landscape that blends thought and artistry, making it an ideal place for learning, tourism, and leisure.

The Dabie Mountain Revolutionary History Memorial Hall is located in the northeastern area of the memorial park. It is a newly reconstructed hall formed by merging the former Generals' Museum and Exhibition Hall of the Western Anhui Martyrs' Cemetery. Dignified and elegant, it harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding green trees, clear waters, and buildings, and is an important component of the "City Business Card" meticulously developed by the municipal Party committee and government, integrating "ecologization, gardenization, landscaping, and humanistic elements." The construction of the memorial hall involved an investment of over 6 million yuan and was officially opened to the public on January 21, 2006. The exhibition inside primarily narrates the stories of people from the Dabie Mountain region and is divided into four major sections — "Glorious History," "Cradle of Generals," "Eternal Heroism," and "Enduring Red Legacy" — as well as eight units: "Gathering of Notables," "Sparks of Revolution," "Red Flags Flying," "Anti-Japanese Flames," "The Long March of a Thousand Li," "Generals' Demeanor," "Eternal Heroism," and "Enduring Red Legacy." Through the use of dioramas, cultural relics, sculptures, photographs, oil paintings, texts, and scene reconstructions, along with modern high-tech methods such as sound, light, and electricity, the hall showcases the indomitable and successive revolutionary spirit of the outstanding sons and daughters of the Dabie Mountain region, especially those from Western Anhui, throughout various historical periods. The first floor focuses on the history of the Communist Party and the military in the Dabie Mountain area, displaying the deeds of 15 notable figures including -, Xu Jishen, -, Guo Shushen, -, and Gao Jingting, as well as a list of 341 generals who originated from the Dabie Mountains. The second floor highlights the stories of 107 renowned martyrs from Western Anhui and the tremendous changes in Lu'an City under the care of central leadership, along with 30 volumes of martyr martyrology archives and nearly a thousand martyr relics. Also on display are inscriptions by Party and state leaders, calligraphy by generals, poetry by famous martyrs, messages from international friends, as well as achievements of the people of Western Anhui in conquering nature, such as the "Pi-Shi-Hang Project" and the "New Look of Lu'an."
