The Youran Lanco Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Youran Lanco Scenic Area is developed to high standards and built from a high starting point. The project is located between Hefei City and Lu'an City, adjacent to National Highway 312 to the south, 37 km east of Hefei City, 15 km west of downtown Lu'an, and 39 km north of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport. With convenient transportation and a superior location, it is a meticulously chosen site rich in profound historical, cultural, and ecological resources. Covering an area of 1,850 mu, with a plot ratio of 0.85 and a total construction area of 450,000 square meters, the project has a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan. It is being constructed in two phases over a planned period of four years. The first phase includes 190,000 square meters, with a planned construction period of 18 months and an investment of 1.2 billion yuan. The scenic area aims to create an ecologically-based, leisure-oriented resort that harmonizes diverse cultures, rooted in natural ecology, inspired by local cultural characteristics, and expressed through neo-Chinese architectural styles. By developing cultural tourism, it seeks to promote Lu'an and even Anhui, showcase Huizhou culture, display the achievements of Anhui’s tourism industry, thereby elevating Anhui’s overall tourism image, and fostering integrated development of the tourism and cultural industries in Anhui.

Scenic Area Introduction

A service hub and distribution center for tourism in the Pan-Chaohu National Tourism Zone; a model project for leisure and vacation targeting mid- to high-end groups and a distinctive product for revitalizing traditional Chinese culture; becoming a new city landmark for Lu'an and a nationally influential cultural and leisure tourism destination; serving as a flagship project for Anhui's tourism industry; highlighting the humanistic spirit of western Anhui and Anhui Province, using cultural inclusiveness to enhance the city’s openness and visibility, promoting Lu'an’s move toward an international and open development pattern.

Scenic Area Infrastructure and Supporting Services: The Youran Lanco project aligns with the development trends of the cultural tourism industry, prioritizing the construction of tourism infrastructure as a prerequisite for project implementation. By effectively utilizing existing local utility infrastructure—such as water, electricity, gas, roads, and communications—the project has comprehensively planned all basic supporting facilities during the initial design stage. Functional zoning within the scenic area has been rationally arranged, adhering to the principles of high-end positioning and humanized service. This ensures innovation, comprehensiveness, and systematic integration across the area’s transportation, signage systems, environmental settings, visitor centers, public facilities, and dining and shopping venues. The total construction area for the scenic area’s infrastructure is 11,000 square meters, fully guaranteeing the integrity of the infrastructure system.

Cultural Industry

The Youran Lanco Scenic Area aims to inherit and promote China’s outstanding traditional culture, fully integrating local cultural elements of western Anhui. It forms a comprehensive, multi-dimensional tourism cultural industry chain centered around the six major business formats of "eat, live, travel, play, shop, and entertainment," specifically manifested as:

Tourism Distribution Center

The tourism service distribution center of the Youran Lanco project covers a construction area of 3,000 square meters. It serves as an integrated tourism service platform offering tourism information, guide services, consulting, complaint handling, attraction promotion, tourist transportation, visitor distribution, and entertainment. It provides tourists with convenient, comfortable, safe, fast, and affordable tourism services. The project has also established comprehensive supporting service facilities in the tourism service center, including beauty salons, wellness and health centers, and sports centers, allowing visitors to experience more efficient service functions within the scenic area.

At the same time, the tourism service distribution center provides comprehensive and high-quality reception services to domestic and international tourists through a “one-stop” service model that includes tourism reception, business tourism transportation, leisure and entertainment, major event support at attractions, tourism consultation services, ticket booking, and complaint handling. Building on the foundation of traditional tourism industries, the center strives to develop toward high-end tourism, business services, and tourism cultural industries, aiming to become a key window—a vital scenic tourism city in East China aligned with international tourism standards.

Based on the tourism policies of the Pan-Chaohu National Tourism Zone outlined in the newly completed “Provincial Capital Economic Circle Urban System Plan,” and leveraging its abundant tourism resources and rapidly developing urban construction, Youran Lanco strives to grow into a distribution and hub center for tourism services, accelerating the development of a cultural tourism base.

Wellness and Vacation Center

Traditional wellness culture has a history of several thousand years and has evolved by integrating elements of natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. It embodies the essence of thousands of years of Chinese wellness traditions, built upon a unique theoretical system and characterized by rich clinical experience. It stands unparalleled among global traditional wellness cultures and has made tremendous contributions to the prosperity, health, and wellness of the Chinese nation. With the concept of wellness deeply rooted in people’s hearts, Youran Lanco, based on a beautifully scenic resort environment, plans to construct a high-standard wellness and vacation center.

The Wellness and Vacation Center is located in the upper northern part of the Youran Lanco Scenic Area, with a total construction area of approximately 200,000 square meters. Relying on the scenic area’s ecological environment and inheriting the millennia-old cultural heritage of Huizhou, it creates a rare Chinese vacation, leisure, and wellness gem that blends natural landscapes with classical Huizhou architecture. The center features the planned layout of garden villas, serviced apartment buildings, and star-rated hotels, along with hot spring wellness centers and water golf courses. Distinctive architectural complexes are nestled amid pristine scenery, delivering a perfect harmony of vacation, leisure, and wellness needs.

Cultural Activity Square

In accordance with the spirit of the Party’s call to “promote Chinese culture and build a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation” and policies such as the Ministry of Culture’s “Guidelines on Accelerating the Development of the Cultural Industry,” the Youran Lanco project leverages the cultural and tourism resource advantages of Lu'an and Anhui. Based on regional cultural elements such as Huizhou merchants culture, Gao Yao culture, water conservancy culture, red culture, and local folk customs, it has planned a cultural and sports activity square. This square promotes the historical culture, folk customs, folk arts, leisure and entertainment, museums, and memorial halls of Lu'an and Anhui. It gradually builds a cultural atmosphere, establishes cultural characteristics, and creates a cultural brand, aiming to become a regional cultural center. The square has a construction scale of nearly 30,000 square meters, including cultural education bases, cultural promotion and exhibition centers, folk custom streets, and other cultural business formats, as well as major cultural projects such as the Huizhou Merchants Museum, Tai Chi Culture Square, Large-Scale Tourist Center, and Cultural and Sports Park.

Large sculptures, cultural walls, botanical features, leisure centers, and sports facilities together form the essential elements of a large-scale comprehensive square. The coordinated use of ringed stone pillars, grand fountains, and stone materials highlights a majestic and magnificent Chinese character.

Through the construction of the cultural and sports activity square, the scale, quality, and level of the local cultural industry are further enhanced. Industrial development promotes the effective protection of cultural heritage, making due contributions to strengthening the cohesion and centripetal force of the Chinese nation and enhancing China’s cultural soft power.

Ecotourism Sightseeing Park

Leveraging the natural conditions within the scenic area and adhering to the concept of “green and environmental protection,” Youran Lanxi makes full use of the area’s natural landscapes to create an environment that is “scenic, explorable, enjoyable, livable, and entertaining.” It forms a landscape complex integrating “nature, production, leisure, recreation, and education,” developing distinctive tourism that combines ecotourism with sightseeing experiences. With a planned area of 200 acres, visitors can explore the mysteries of ecotourism through hands-on experience, thereby gaining a unique travel encounter.
