The Ruins of the Western Ancient City of Lu'an are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Anhui Province.

The Ruins of the Western Ancient City of Lu'an are located 6 kilometers north of downtown Lu'an in Chengbei Township.

Within the Ruins of the Western Ancient City of Lu'an, the two ancient city sites are only 300 meters apart, facing each other from east to west. The Lu'an–Shou (County) Highway runs between them, and later generations named them the Eastern and Western Ancient Cities based on their locations. The Western Ancient City site currently extends 471 meters from north to south and 229 meters from east to west, with walls about 2–5 meters thick. At each of the four corners of the city wall there is a large earthen mound, approximately 10–13 meters high. Preliminary explorations have revealed that the artifacts unearthed date from the Spring and Autumn Period to the Han Dynasty, with a small number from the Neolithic Age.

Chengbei Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Lu'an City. Established as Chengbei Commune in 1958 and reorganized as a township in 1983. Located in the northern part of the city, it is 7.5 kilometers from downtown. Covering an area of 45 square kilometers, it has a population of 40,000. The Lu'an–Shou (County) Highway passes through the township. It administers 22 village committees: He wan, Hu Qiao, Lu Wei, Xin Kai, Wu Xing, Shuang Qiao, Zhong Xin, Jing An, Sun Cheng Si, Cang Fang, Xin Hua, Xie Wan, Feng Tang, Wang Jia Wan, Bei Er Shi Li Pu, Deng Jia Geng, Ba Li Tan, Wa Wu Tai, Zou Ma Gang, Cheng Bei, Dong Cheng, and Bai Sheng.
