Chizhou Ciyun Buddhist Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Introduction: Ciyun Buddhist Temple is situated in Ciyun Mountain, approximately 7 kilometers northeast of Shitai County. Next to the temple lies a cave named Ciyun. This mountain, temple, and cave are documented in the *Shidai County Annals*. Legend has it that the monk Jidian once wandered here and meditated in the Ciyun Cave. “A mountain need not be high to be sacred when it has a temple; water need not be deep to be famous when it has a cave.” Due to its unique geographical location, surrounded by mountains and enveloped in auspicious mist, the water in the Ciyun Cave flows year-round, resembling a dragon emerging from the cave and flowing protectively past the front of the temple. It is truly a feng shui treasure land with exceptional scenery, often praised as a “Buddhist kingdom in the mountains,” and renowned for its breathtaking landscape.

Ciyun Buddhist Temple is the only legally recognized religious site in Shitai County. After being restored in September 2002, it was opened to the public and is now revered as a sacred site of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
