Tianfang Selenium-Rich Village is located in Ketian Township, Shitai County, nestled in picturesque surroundings. It lies 45 kilometers from the county seat of Shitai. Legend has it that the villagers are descendants of Wang Mang, with many surnamed Wang. They built their homes against the mountains and lived in close-knit communities, adhering to the ancient teachings of their ancestors. For generations, they have remained in the mountains, growing tea as their livelihood. To this day, the villagers maintain their primitive and simple way of life, with most daily necessities sourced locally. They wear straw capes and conical hats, use wooden buckets, washbasins, iron hoes, and iron knives, working from sunrise to sunset in a tranquil and traditional lifestyle.
