Chengde Bridge

Chengde Bridge is a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit in Chizhou.

Chengde Bridge is located at Sanzu of Qidu Village, Qidu Town, Shitai County. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On March 4, 2020, the Chizhou Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Chizhou.

Protected area: includes the heritage site itself and extends outward from it — 10 meters to the east and west along the stone railings upstream and downstream, and 10 meters to the south and north along the stone steps at both ends of the bridge.

Construction control zone: bounded by the protected area, extending 20 meters outward to the east and west, and 5 meters outward to the south and north.

Qidu Town: Qijing Township is located in the northeast of Shitai County, bordering Huangshan Mountain to the east, the sacred Buddhist site Jiuhua Mountain to the north, and the renowned Penglai Fairy Cave to the south. The area features undulating mountains and towering peaks, often shrouded in mist, with a pleasant climate. The township covers an area of 74 square kilometers and is 39 kilometers from the county seat. The ancient Huizhou merchants' route runs north to south through the township. It currently administers 7 villages, 36 villager groups, 780 households, and 3,008 residents.
