Laotzhuang Bridge

Laotzhuang Bridge is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chizhou Municipality.

Laotzhuang Bridge is located in Laozhuang Group, Gaoluting Village, Qidu Town, Shitai County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is categorized as an ancient architectural structure.

On March 4, 2020, the Chizhou Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Chizhou.

Protected Area: Includes the structure itself and extends outward — 10 meters to the east and west along the stone railings upstream and downstream, and 10 meters to the north and south along the stair edges at both ends of the bridge.

Construction Control Zone: Extends 20 meters outward to the east and west, and 5 meters outward to the north and south from the boundaries of the protected area.

Gaoluting Village: Gaoluting Village is situated in the eastern part of Qidu Town, adjacent to Yulong Cave, Jiuhua Mountain, Taihu Lake, and the Xidi-Hongcun area. It lies 55 kilometers from the county seat and 16 kilometers from the Hefei-Tongling-Huangshan Expressway exit. The village flourished during the Tang Dynasty and reached its peak in the Ming and Qing dynasties, boasting a history of over 1,200 years. Provincial Highway 325 runs through the village, which features well-preserved Huizhou-style ancient residences and workshops from southern Anhui, as well as the renowned, long-established Gaoluting liquor starter cakes.
