Wangjiashan Site

The Wangjiashan Site is a cultural heritage protection unit under the jurisdiction of Anqing City.

The Wangjiashan Site is located in Shouquan Village, Xiaoshi Town, Huaining County, dating back to the Neolithic Age.

On September 22, 2017, the Wangjiashan Site was designated as part of the seventh batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Xiaoshi Town: Xiaoshi Town is situated in the western part of Huaining County, along the middle reaches of the Wan River. It covers an area of 52.23 square kilometers, has a population of 25,000, and administers seven administrative villages and one neighborhood committee. Historically known as "Xiaoligang" or also called "Jiaoligang," ancient records state that it was named after Jiao Zhongqing, a minor official from Lujiang Commandery during the Han Dynasty. The town has existed since the Han Dynasty and is the setting of the famous Eastern Han Yuefu long poem "The Peacock Flies Southeast."

Xiaoshi Town enjoys a superior location and convenient transportation. National Highway 318 and the Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway pass through the town.
