The Yangqi Irrigation and Drainage Station is a municipal-level cultural heritage site protected by Anqing City.

The Yangqi Irrigation and Drainage Station is located in Yangqi Village, Xiaoshi Town, Huaining County, dating back to 1976.

On October 23, 2012, the Yangqi Irrigation and Drainage Station was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Xiaoshi Town: Located in the western part of Huaining County along the middle reaches of the Wan River, Xiaoshi Town covers an area of 52.23 square kilometers, with a population of 25,000. It administers 7 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee. Historically known as “Xiaoligang,” also called “Jiaoligang,” ancient records indicate it was named after Jiao Zhongqing, a local official of the Lujiang Commandery during the Han Dynasty. Established since the Han era, it is the setting of the famous Eastern Han Yuefu poem “The Peacock Flies Southeast.”

Xiaoshi Town enjoys a superior location and convenient transportation. National Highway 318 and the Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway run through the town.
