Baima Lake Fishing Village is located in the picturesque Baima Lake Wetland on the southern bank of the Qiantang River. It is a modern ecological park integrating ecological breeding, catering and entertainment, leisure sightseeing, and tourism vacation, established by Hangzhou Baima Lake Sightseeing Agriculture Co., Ltd. The company is a municipal-level agricultural leading enterprise in Hangzhou and a demonstration unit for leisure and sightseeing agriculture tourism in the city. The area surrounding Baima Lake Fishing Village boasts rich cultural landscapes. To the north, it faces the world-famous West Lake across the river; to the east, it neighbors the World Leisure Expo Park and the Kuahuqiao Cultural Ruins; to the south, it connects with the Oriental Culture Park; and to the west, it borders the World Ethnic Culture Park, placing it at the heart of Hangzhou’s prime tourism circle. It is just a ten-minute drive from the city center, with K822 and 674 bus routes stopping right at Baima Lake Fishing Village. In 2005, the village was certified as a Zhejiang Province Pollution-Free Aquatic Product Farming Base and also obtained ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification.

Relying on its natural landscape, enriched with traditional culture, and offering hands-on experiences in leisure, sightseeing, dining, and vacation, Baima Lake Fishing Village spans an area of over 200 acres. Supporting facilities include: a specialty dining area featuring 20 elegant private rooms in Lingnan style and a high-end dining hall, accommodating up to 500 guests; a fishing and chess area with 16 fish ponds hosting various fish species, over 100 open-air fishing spots, and 20 fishing and chess wooden cabins, surrounded by fruit trees for visitors to pick; a water resort area with 39 standard guest rooms in a “Fishermen’s Village,” furnished to a three-star standard while retaining the charm of a rural retreat. There is also a Ming-Qing style building with Jiangnan characteristics — “Gengdu Family Home” — featuring carved beams, painted rafters, black tiles, and white walls, exuding classic elegance. Inside, traditional writing materials and farming tools are displayed, inviting guests to enjoy tea, compose poetry, or simply relax. A multifunctional conference and training zone includes three halls equipped with stages, high-end sound, and lighting systems, suitable for conferences, training, and entertainment for over a hundred people. The Baima Scenic Pavilion offers panoramic views of the beautiful Baima Lake, creating a refreshing and uplifting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy tea, play chess, admire the scenery, and appreciate the flowers here, making it an ideal spot for high-end meetings and personal enrichment.

Baima Lake Fishing Village provides visitors with a full range of services including dining, accommodation, sightseeing, entertainment, and shopping. In 2004, it was recognized as a Zhejiang Province Leisure Fisheries Demonstration Base by the Provincial Oceanic and Fishery Bureau and the Provincial Tourism Bureau. In 2005, it was named a “Hangzhou International Tourism (Visitor Site)” by the Hangzhou Tourism Commission, and in 2006, it was rated as a Three-Star Rural Tourism Destination by the Zhejiang Tourism Standards Committee. With its beautiful environment, exquisite wooden cabins, refined taste, and excellent service, the village has attracted a growing number of domestic and international tourists and tour groups.

In 2006, the fishing village received over 100,000 individual leisure and sightseeing visitors, achieving commendable economic and social benefits.
