American City

American City is China's first theme park dedicated to showcasing American culture and natural landscapes through performances. The park features a 1:1 scale replica of the U.S. presidential residence—the White House—along with its South Lawn, Rose Garden, as well as Mount Rushmore and the Washington Monument. Here, visitors can not only enjoy song and dance performances in Hawaiian and Native American styles but also watch exquisite American Broadway musicals at the White House Theater.

Hangzhou American City is the largest entertainment center in Hangzhou. It is another major project by the Songcheng Group, following Songcheng, Hangzhou Amusement Park, Tianquan Ecological Park, Shanli Renjia, and Marco Polo Theme Park, with a total investment of 180 million yuan. Construction officially began on September 23, 1998.

Through ingenious layout and design, Hangzhou American City integrates some of the most iconic American architecture, culture, natural landscapes, and entertainment facilities.

Key attractions include the bustling Disney Christmas Street, a 1:1 scale White House identical in materials and decor, the South Lawn that welcomes state guests, the majestic Mount Rushmore, the romantic Cupid Post Office, the winding Drift River, the solemn and sacred Wedding Chapel, the rustic and mysterious Native American Village, the poetic and dreamy Hawaii area, the charming and lively Happy Castle, and the towering Washington Monument piercing the sky.

Starting with the ceremonial performance by the small band that greets visitors at the entrance, a variety of spectacular shows will keep you enthralled and reluctant to leave. Along the loop from “Disney Christmas Street – Washington Monument – White House Square,” you’ll encounter a parade of American-themed performances: the humorous Charlie Chaplin, adorable characters, cowboys on horseback with rifles, Santa Claus delivering gifts via reindeer-drawn sleigh, and exciting costume balls—all rich in American flair. The grand and luxurious White House Theater hosts daily large-scale musical performances such as "Flying Over the Pacific" and "Love Sonata." At the Native American Square, swimming pool, and drift river, dazzling Native American dance performances and Hawaiian aquatic shows showcase the unique charm of indigenous culture. Of course, you can also head to the White House South Lawn to witness the ceremony where the U.S. President welcomes African heads of state. In American City, surprises await you at every turn.
