Introduction: Located near Changle Town in Yuhang District, Jingshan is covered in bamboo forests. There is a waterfall halfway up the mountain with very clear water—perfect for fishing and swimming enthusiasts. In the center of the mountain lies a natural reservoir. The mountain is also home to Jingshan Temple, built in 742 AD (the first year of the Tianbao era). Legend has it that Monk Fachin came here to build a hut and spread Buddhism, and was later honored as “Guoyi Chan Master.” By the Southern Song Dynasty, Emperor Xiaozong of Song personally inscribed the name “Jingshan Xingsheng Wanshou Chan Temple.” During the Jiading period, it was ranked as the foremost among the “Five Mountains and Ten Monasteries” of Jiangnan. At its peak, the temple complex boasted numerous halls and towers, with a monastic community of up to 3,000 monks, earning it the reputation of the “Foremost Buddhist Temple in the Southeast.” Even today, it remains highly active in worship. This place is ideal for laid-back vacationers, offering fresh air, comfortable lodging, good food, and few tourists. Dining / Accommodation / Shopping: Local specialties: Famous tea, quality spring water, and boiled bamboo shoots are known as the “Three Treasures of Jingshan.” Jingshan Cloud Mist Tea is a nationally renowned tea, famous both in China and abroad. Accommodation: There are three lodging options at the mountaintop. First, you can stay with local residents, which is very economical at just 10 yuan per person. Hot showers are available but no air conditioning—though the mountaintop is cool, so AC isn’t necessary. The mountain village has about a dozen households, and due to its remote location, the locals are quite simple and kind. The second option is to camp—the mountaintop offers wide, open spaces suitable for setting up tents. The third option is to stay at the Jingshan Resort, which is akin to a three-star hotel. A standard room costs 420 or 480 yuan per night, with the only difference being room orientation. Alternatively, a room can be had for 180 or 200 yuan.

Transportation:

(1) Take bus 502 from the West Long-Distance Bus Station to Gudang Station, then transfer to bus 346 to Yuhang, and finally take a local minibus to Jingshan. The whole journey takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes. (Users mentioned that trolleybus 152 stopped operating on the evening of July 6.) (2) From the East Bus Station or East Railway Station, you can take K516 to Hemo New Village. Cross the road to the Hemo New Village Terminal and transfer to bus 313 to Pingyao; then take a local minibus to Jingshan. (3) Take K516 to Beidaqiao, transfer to K513, go to Pingyao, and then transfer to a local minibus to Jingshan. Tip: Bus 313 costs 2 yuan; K513 costs 4 yuan. K513 is faster and makes fewer stops.
