Dayan Bridge

Dayan Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Hangzhou.

Dayan Bridge is located

beside Shuangxi Highway in Lihong Natural Village, Jing Shan Scenic Area. Built during the Gengwu year of the Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty, it is a single-arch stone bridge with a length of 36 meters. The characters “大堰桥” (Dayan Bridge) are inscribed on it. Currently, the arch and main structure of the bridge are relatively well-preserved, though the bridge deck and railings have been replaced with concrete and it is still in use.

Protected area: approximately 10 meters beyond the bridge structure, covering a total area of 608 square meters.

Construction control zone: extending about 30 meters beyond the protected area to the southeast, about 80 meters beyond the protected area to the northeast along the southern bank of the Lihong Port riverbank, about 30 meters beyond the protected area to the south, about 30 meters beyond the protected area to the west (including a three-story building to the northwest), and about 50 meters beyond the protected area to the north (up to the current road curb line), covering a total area of 10,418 square meters.

Jingshan Village: Located at the northeastern peak of the Tianmu Mountain Range in Jingshan Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, Jingshan Village lies within the scenic area of Jing Shan Temple, the foremost among the Five Mountains and Ten Temples of southern China, and is about 40 kilometers from downtown Hangzhou. The village administers six natural villages and nine villager groups, with a total of 515 farming households, including 71 Party members, 43 villager (cooperative) representatives, and a village leadership team of 7 members, totaling a population of 1,610. In 2010, the per capita income of Jingshan Village reached 13,480 yuan, and the village’s disposable income was over 860,000 yuan, both increasing by more than 10% compared to the previous year.
