Guide: Located to the south of West Lake, at the foot of Baihe Peak on Daci Mountain. The zoo covers an area of 19.3 hectares. It features various facilities including a Goldfish Garden, Aviary, Reptile House, Panda House, Raptor Enclosure, Small Mammal Area, Sea Lion Pool, Waterfowl Lake, Mandarin Duck Pond, Hoofed Animal Enclosure, and Wading Bird Pool. Introduction: The zoo was relocated here from Qianwang Temple and newly built in 1957, and was officially named Hangzhou Zoo. It houses over 170 species of rare birds and animals, including precious species such as golden snub-nosed monkeys, Francois' langurs, lions, tigers, pandas, and peacocks. Animals representing Zhejiang's local characteristics include small Indian civets, goldfish, orioles, and snakes. In recent years, the zoo has planted a variety of fruit trees including osmanthus, bayberry, persimmons, apples, and citrus, making it a uniquely landscaped zoo. Transportation: Take bus lines k4, K808, K822, 822, 527, 315, 504, 514, Holiday Line 1, Holiday Line 5, Holiday Line 9, Holiday Line 16, or Tourist Line 7 to the Zoo Station. Ticket/Opening Hours: Joint ticket discount price is 20 RMB/person (with Children's Park) (Note: children between 1–1.3 meters enjoy half-price discount, children under 1 meter are free, all animal shows are free of charge). May 1 – October 7: 7:00–17:30; October 8 – April 30: 7:00–17:00
