Zhejiang Sea King Star Eco Park was among the first batch of projects attracted through investment during the 2003 Hangzhou West Lake Expo, a key initiative in the adjustment of agricultural industry structure and the development of modern urban agriculture. It was also a priority project for Xihu District, Hangzhou, in 2005 and 2006, as well as an officially listed project for the 2006 Hangzhou Leisure Expo. The park is positioned as a comprehensive leisure agriculture eco-park that centers on koi fish breeding while also offering services such as urban agricultural recreation, sightseeing, and tourism. Its leisure theme is “A Date Between the Soul and Nature — Give Your Mood a Break.”

The park is located in Zhoupu Township, Xihu District, at the confluence of the Qiantang River and the Fuchun River. Covering an area of approximately 500,000 square meters, the total investment is 190 million RMB. Stylistically, the park emphasizes ecology and the creation of natural landscapes as its core focus. It insists on constructing undisturbed, pollution-free natural settings, places importance on cultivating cultural style and natural charm, establishes a radiation-oriented focus centered on agricultural leisure, and builds a high-starting-point, high-standard, high-quality leisure culture eco-park.

The green coverage of the park is nearly 70%, with a wide variety of tree species and abundant flowers and vegetation. With nearly 200,000 m³ of water systems, three main streams run through the park. The ample water resources keep the park lush all year round. Coupled with the unique scenery along the shores, the harmonious sounds of fish leaping in the lakes and insects and birds chirping in the woods together paint a beautiful ecological landscape garden.

The koi fish at Sea King Star Eco Park are among the world’s most prized ornamental fish. Directly imported from Japan, they are premium-bred and carefully selected specimens, each with its own “registration record.” The park also houses a top-tier koi fish farm covering more than 300 acres, with substantial investment. It employs scientific breeding methods and is supervised personally by veteran koi experts.
