Hangzhou Zhijiang National Tourism Resort

Hangzhou Zhijiang National Tourism Resort is one of the twelve national tourism resorts approved for establishment by the State Council. It is an important initiative by the State Council to deepen reforms, expand opening up, transform China’s tourism product structure, enhance the quality of tourism offerings, and boost international competitiveness. It is also a significant move by the Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government to implement the spirit of -'s Southern Tour Speech, accelerate tourism reforms in Hangzhou, promote deeper development of local resources, leverage unique advantages, and spur growth in the tourism industry.

The resort is located in the southwest of Hangzhou, bordered by the Qiantang River to the south and Wuyun Mountain to the north, covering a total area of 9.88 square kilometers. The area features lush bamboo forests, dense woods, beautiful scenery, and a tranquil environment. From the mountains, you can take in the serene beauty of West Lake and the majestic grandeur of the Zhijiang River. Traveling downstream along the river, you can witness the world-famous Qiantang River tidal bore; heading upstream, you can enjoy the picturesque landscapes of the “Two Rivers and One Lake” area. It serves as the prime junction where West Lake meets the “Two Rivers and One Lake” scenic region.
