Baochu Pagoda

Baochu Pagoda is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

This pagoda is an ancient Han Chinese structure built during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Also known as Baoshu Pagoda, Baoshi Pagoda, Baosuo Pagoda, and Baosuo Pagoda. It is recorded to have been originally built during the Later Zhou of the Five Dynasties (948–960), initially consisting of nine stories. During the Xianping era of the Northern Song Dynasty (998–1003), when it was renovated, it was changed to seven stories. It has undergone multiple restorations over the dynasties, and the current solid pagoda was refurbished in the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933) in accordance with the original ancient style.

In 1997, the decaying spire was replaced and the pagoda was restored again. Since then, Baochu Pagoda has remained well-preserved to this day.
