Xixi Subdistrict: The name “Xixi” boasts a history of over a thousand years. According to “Fangxing Shenglan” written by Zhu Mu in the Southern Song Dynasty: “Xixi is a road along a small river, which then flows north to join Yuhang Pond and merges with the city river.” In modern times, Ma Shiyong’s edited work “Hangzhou’s Water” points out: “The section from Bazi Bridge to Yuhang Pond is called Xixi River.” Xixi Subdistrict is named after the Xixi River within its jurisdiction. Located in the city center of Hangzhou, Xixi Subdistrict lies in the northeast of Xihu District. To the east, it borders Gongshu District along Moganshan Road, facing the municipal government across the street. To the west, it reaches Jiaogong Road and connects with Cuizhen Subdistrict.
