Stone Carvings of the Guarding Stones
The Stone Carvings of the Guarding Stones are a cultural relic protection unit of Hangzhou.
The Stone Carvings of the Guarding Stones are located on the Guarding Stones at Jiangtai Mountain. At the extreme right peak of Phoenix Mountain, there are several stone stalagmites arranged in two rows, standing like guards. Qian Liu of the Wuyue Kingdom named them “Guarding Stones” and inscribed poems on them.
Dating back to the Wuyue period of the Five Dynasties, the site is situated at the top of Jiangtai Mountain.
The protected area extends from the mountain peak to the 192-meter contour line, covering a total area of approximately 6,783 square meters.
