Hetou Village

Hetou Village is located in the southern part of Fan Shi, Longshan Town, Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. It borders Huangyang’ao Village to the east, Pan’ao Village to the west, and the urban areas of Ningbo and Zhenhai District to the north. The village is divided into three natural villages, with a total of 1,021 households and 2,400 residents. It covers an area of 11,436 mu, including 1,657 mu of arable land and 8,555 mu of mountainous land. The village is currently one of the largest settlements of people with the surname Fang in China, hence it is also known as Fangjia Hetou Village. It is the only ancient village cultural heritage site in Cixi, as well as one of the few well-preserved and high-value ancient villages in the Ningbo area. In 2003, it was designated as a municipal-level historical and cultural reserve of Cixi for its “beautiful waters, ancient trees, and numerous historic sites.”
