The Cixi Andong Wetland is located in the northern part of Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, on the west side of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge, covering a total area of 43.5 square kilometers. It is one of China's eight major saline-alkali wetlands and a world-class birdwatching destination.

The Cixi Andong Wetland is located in the northern part of Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, on the west side of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge, covering a total area of 43.5 square kilometers. It is one of China's eight major saline-alkali wetlands and a world-class birdwatching destination. The wetland serves as a stopover or wintering site for many migratory birds, including shorebirds that undertake some of the longest migrations on Earth. Cixi features forested wetlands, and its natural dense woodland environment makes it an ideal breeding ground for these species. A total of 131 bird species have been recorded here, belonging to 12 orders and 33 families. These include near-threatened species such as the Eurasian Wigeon, Black-tailed Godwit, Eurasian Curlew, Far Eastern Curlew, and Reed Parrotbill, as well as vulnerable species like the Dalmatian Pelican, Relict Gull, and Yellow-breasted Bunting. It is also home to several species listed in China’s National Key Protected Wildlife List, such as the Common Buzzard, Eurasian Kestrel, Common Pheasant, and Little Curlew.
