Yuchi Hui Bridge is located in Caojiadou, Gudujing Village, Youchegang Town, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, also known as Guangfu Bridge. It was built in the 10th year of the Republic of China (1921). This is a seven-arch stone slab bridge with railings, stretching east-west across Yuchi Hui Harbor. The total length is 39.4 meters, with a bridge deck width of 2.2 meters, a base width of 2.6 meters, and a height of 3.2 meters. The central pier is pier-style, while the other piers are upright slab-style. The bridge deck is paved with four flat stone slabs, with eight steps on both the eastern and western sides. There are a total of 16 coping stones along the bridge sides, all carved with patterns. The middle of the bridge railing features four lion-shaped pier columns on each side. The northern bridge plaque is inscribed with “Reconstructed Guangfu Bridge,” and the southern one reads “Yuchi Hui Guangfu Bridge.” The couplets on the north and south ends read: “Fishing villages and crab sheds on both banks connect to Yu Lake’s waters,” and “Ten thousand fields of embroidery, cloud-like ridges, and calm waves near the Sacred Isle,” and “Boats arrive from the north pond with the shadows of spring mulberry sails, connected west to the ancient temple bells faintly ringing in Chixi,” respectively. Originally, there was a stone stele at the east end of the bridge, inscribed with the names and donation amounts of those who contributed to the bridge’s construction, which was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Yuchi Hui Bridge is well-preserved, featuring a unique structure combining piers and columns, and boasts a grand and beautiful design, holding significant historical, artistic, and scientific value. It was designated as a Zhejiang Provincial-level Cultural Relic Protection Unit in 2017.
