Thailand’s Koh Samui “Tropical Regatta” sees over 400 sailors from 30 countries gather

Koh Samui, Thailand, is set to host its 15th Regatta from May 21 to 28, with an expected gathering of over 400 sailors from 30 countries. It also serves as the grand finale and championship event of a series of 12 five-star regattas across Asia.

Koh Samui is a favorite destination among sailors from around the world, combining ideal sailing conditions with a tropical vibe, plus beach parties at night — the regatta is also nicknamed the “Tropical Regatta.”

This year’s event will take place from May 21 to 28, 2016, at the Centara Grand Beach Resort. During the regatta, spectators can take boat tours to watch the races daily. The boat tour costs 800 Thai Baht per person, and tickets are also available for the evening beach party and the final night’s gala dinner.
