Youchegang Changsheng Bridge is located to the south of No. 31 Chengxi Street, Chengxi Village, Youchegang Town, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City. According to the small characters on the bridge’s plaque, it was rebuilt in the 55th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1790). Spanning north-south over the Chengxi River, it lies to the north of Chengxi Street and to the south of Gangnan Street. It is a three-arch pier-type stone slab bridge, approximately 22 meters long and 2.97 meters wide. The bridge deck consists of five parallel stone slabs, and the two piers in the river are built with stone blocks, with the largest single slab span being 6.43 meters. The height from the bridge bottom to the water surface is 2.4 meters. Stone railings are installed on both sides of the bridge deck, adorned with square balusters. The slopes at both ends are slightly flared, each featuring seven stone steps. Originally, there were five-character plaques on the east and west sides, now sealed with cement, with the small characters “Qianlong 55th Year” inscribed beside them. There are no bridge couplets. The bridge body features partial carvings of cloud-thunder and coiled lotus patterns. This bridge has a regular structure and exquisite craftsmanship. Its technique of using piers to support stone slabs is relatively rare in Jiaxing and holds significant scientific, artistic, and historical value. It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit of Jiaxing in 2009.
