Jiulong Mountain National Forest Park
Jiulong Mountain National Forest Park is a national-level forest park.
Jiulong Mountain National Forest Park is located on the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay, just two to three kilometers from the Jiulong Mountain Tourist Resort and adjacent to the ancient town of Zhapu.
The most worthwhile area to explore in the forest park is the Nanwan Scenic Area, which features abundant natural and cultural landscapes. It is named after the Nanwan Ancient Cannon, reputed to be the “Number One Cannon under Heaven.” Additionally, you can see relics related to Meng Jiangnu, the Zhen Nü Pavilion, the Haihong Pavilion, and the departure site of "A Dream of Red Mansions" – all spots connected to the classic novel.
Adjacent to the forest park, Tangshan Park lies by the sea and is a great summer retreat for visitors. Within Tangshan Park, you can find another famous ancient artillery battery in Zhapu – the Tianfei Palace Battery.
