Four hundred years ago, the traveler Xu Xiake climbed Huangshan twice and left behind this timeless and widely praised verse. Since then, Huangshan has gained fame far and wide. Four hundred years later today, nestled at the foot of the majestic and scenic Huangshan and by the rippling waters of Taipinghu, triathlon athletes from all over the country, with their glistening sweat and athletic physiques, personally relived the grandeur that Master Xu Xiake captured centuries ago.
The two-day Huangshan event, with its unforgettable scenery and experience, left the athletes deeply moved and reluctant to leave. Everyone is especially looking forward to the next gathering and hopes that next year’s Huangshan Extreme Triathlon will be even more spectacular. Bai Yunfeng, co-founder of Huangshan Extreme Culture & Sports Communication Co., Ltd. and the race director of this event’s organizing committee, said in a post-race interview that the team invested a great deal of time and energy into this event, and that this race marked a solid first step in hosting a triathlon event. The event was also well received by the athletes. "The biggest takeaway from organizing this race is realizing the connection between sports and every ordinary person—it can make people more positive and full of vitality. Next, our team will incorporate more creative elements to build a triathlon series brand of our own that is representative of China, so that triathlon and sports can convey a positive energy of self-challenge."
