Aoduoqi Farm is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.
Pinghu City's Aoduoqi Farm is a national 3A-level tourist attraction and a national science education base. Situated in the western suburbs of Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province, at the northern exit of the cross-sea bridge, it faces east toward Shanghai, near Hangzhou Bay, and is adjacent to the Zhajiasu Expressway. The farm is within a 30-minute drive of nearby attractions including Jiaxing South Lake, Haiyan Nanbei Lake, Jiulongshan Tourist Resort, and Mo's Manor. The overall planned area of the farm spans 156,000 square meters, with a total investment of 18 million yuan. It features 18 developed attractions and is an eco-friendly farm integrating ecological breeding, leisure sightseeing, catering services, and science education.
Guided by the concept of scientific development, Aoduoqi Farm focuses on maintaining ecological balance, adheres to a people-oriented and harmonious development approach, and establishes a tourism model that is "future-oriented, ecology-focused, and serves agriculture, rural areas, and farmers." With ingenious planning and landscape design, a seamless blend of nature and culture, interactive participatory activities, and immersive experiences, visitors can enjoy nature and embrace green living; revel among small bridges, flowing streams, fruits, and vines; escape the hustle and bustle of the city; and freely breathe in the freshness of a natural oxygen bar.
Harvesting Area: The orchard features fruits such as peaches, pears, oranges, loquats, and watermelons; the vegetable section offers broad beans, bamboo shoots, lettuce, asparagus, malan greens, and bok choy in spring; tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and "cutting melons" in summer; pumpkins, gourds, edamame, wild rice stems, and water caltrops in autumn; and radishes, Chinese cabbage, lettuce, baby bok choy, yellow sprouting cabbage, snow cabbage, lettuce, and shepherd’s purse in winter. The riverbed has snails, the river teems with plump fish, the water surface is dotted with water caltrops, and the riverbanks grow wild rice stems.
Breeding Area: Bold ostriches occasionally flap their beautiful wings to dance for you; proud peacocks frequently spread their colorful tails to show off; free-range pheasants and peach orchard chickens forage and play among the grass or on peach tree branches.
Sightseeing Area: The historically rich Jingchun Garden, the legend-filled Wanglong Pavilion, the uniquely designed windmill water tower, the entertaining piglet races, the traditional waterwheel demonstrating old farming methods, the ox-plowing performance, the educational cave exhibition hall, the competitive goat butting, and interactive activities like crayfish fishing create a distinctive and joyful agrarian cultural experience.
Xingzhi Cultural Park: As the first Xingzhi culture base in northern Zhejiang, the park aims to “embody Xingzhi’s philosophy through examples and showcase his spirit through sculptures.” Features include the Plow Palace, the Bookworms Not Allowed Hall, the Golden World, the Ten Maxims of Yucai School, the Tao Xingzhi Quotations Corridor, and more. Through text and imagery, these vividly and creatively recreate Mr. Tao Xingzhi’s historical achievements and life education practices, as well as the historical significance and modern value of life education. This site has become the second base for spreading Tao Xingzhi’s educational philosophy under the Life Education Action Lecturer Group and the Tao Xingzhi Education Thought Lecturer Team of the Yangtze River Plain Education Foundation. It effectively guides the healthy growth of youth and promotes the construction of spiritual, material, and political civilization in socialist new rural areas.
