The Main Hall of the City God Temple is located in Chenghuang Lane, Danghu Subdistrict. Dating back to the fifth year of the Xuande era of the Ming Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient architectural structure.
On November 14, 1985, the Main Hall of the City God Temple was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Pinghu City.
Danghu Subdistrict: Danghu Subdistrict is the location of the Pinghu Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. It lies at the eastern end of the Hangjiahu Plain in northern Zhejiang Province, bordering Hangzhou Bay to the south, Shanghai to the east, and Nanhu District of Jiaxing City to the west. Its urban function is positioned as a central area primarily focused on commerce, trade, and residential development. Since ancient times, Danghu has enjoyed favorable weather, abundant produce, prosperous residents, and a rich cultural heritage, making it a renowned “land of fish and rice” in the Jiangnan region.
