The former residence of Yu Chuangshuo is a cultural relic protection unit of Pinghu City.

The former residence of Yu Chuangshuo is located at No. 61–71, West Main Street, Xinpei Community, Xinpei Town. Dating back to the 18th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1892), it is categorized as a modern-era important historical site and representative building.

On June 3, 2011, the former residence of Yu Chuangshuo was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Pinghu City.

Xinpei Town: Located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province, Xinpei Town lies on the Hangjiahu Plain, on the forefront of the Yangtze River Delta, and on the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay. It serves as the “northern gateway” of Pinghu City. To the northeast, it borders Jinshan District of Shanghai; to the west, it neighbors Jiashan County; to the south, it faces Zhapu Port—the major eastern port—and is close to the under-construction Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge. Just a stone’s throw from the international metropolis of Shanghai, the town enjoys convenient transportation and a superior geographical location, making it a small coastal open town with great development potential.
