The Longtan Port Site is located in Longtan Port Natural Village, Group 11, Taobei Village, Baibu Town, dating back to the Neolithic Age and classified as an ancient site.

The Longtan Port Site covers an area of approximately 18,000 square meters. It was discovered in March 1997. The following month, the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, together with the Haiyan County Museum, carried out rescue excavations on the site, uncovering an area of 700 square meters. The excavation revealed 20 tombs from the Liangzhu Culture period and one red-fired clay feature. A total of 369 funerary objects (sets) were unearthed, including pottery, jade artifacts, stone tools, and bone/ivory implements. Among them, there were 166 pottery items (sets), predominantly featuring vessel shapes such as ding (tripods), dou (bean-shaped vessels), double-handled hu (jugs), and jars. Some pottery pieces exhibited exquisite craftsmanship and intricate decorations, making them particularly valuable.

On May 22, 2000, the Longtan Port Site was designated as a Cultural Relics Protection Unit of Haiyan County. On January 13, 2017, it was listed as part of the sixth batch of Cultural Relics Protection Units of Zhejiang Province.
