Zhoujiabang Site
The Zhoujiabang Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Haiyan County.
The Zhoujiabang Site is located in Zhoujiabang Natural Village, Group 4, Taobei Village, Baibu Town. Dating back to the Neolithic Age, it is classified as an ancient ruin.
On May 22, 2000, the Zhoujiabang Site was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Haiyan County.
Baibu Economic Development Zone (Baibu Town): Baibu — the town developed into a market town in the late Qing Dynasty. The 1895 edition of the Haiyan County Annals already contains records of Baipo Ting (also known as Baibu Ting), indicating its long historical and cultural heritage.
Baibu Town is located in the western part of Haiyan County, adjacent to Haining City, and falls within the Shanghai Economic Opening Zone of the Yangtze River Delta. It is 137 kilometers east of Shanghai and 80 kilometers south of Hangzhou. The town covers an area of 64.71 square kilometers and has a population of 35,148.
Baibu enjoys superior natural conditions and has long been known as the "Land of Fish and Rice, and Home of Silk." Since the reform and opening-up, Baibu’s economy has developed rapidly.
