Sanyou Highland Ruins
The Sanyou Highland Ruins are a cultural heritage protection unit of Haiyan County.
The Sanyou Highland Ruins are located in Gaodi Natural Village, Sanyou Village, Tongyuan Town. Dating back to the Neolithic Age, they are classified as an ancient ruin site.
On May 22, 2000, the Sanyou Highland Ruins were designated as a cultural heritage protection unit of Haiyan County.
Tongyuan Town: Located in the southwest of Haiyan County, Tongyuan Town borders Qingshan Town to the east, Ganpu Town to the south, Yuanhua Town of Haining City to the west, and connects to Wuyuan and Yucheng towns to the north. The Jiaxing East-West Avenue runs through the town from northeast to southwest, while the Yu Highway traverses it from north to south. It is also the starting point of the Liupingshen Waterway, offering convenient transportation. The town government is situated on South Street of Tongyuan Township.
Agricultural production mainly focuses on grain, oil, silkworm breeding, and animal husbandry, with silkworm cocoons and livestock being the primary sources of income for local farmers.
