Xijian Thatched Cottage

Xijian Thatched Cottage is a cultural relic protection unit of Haiyan County.

Xijian Thatched Cottage is located at No. 24, Zhanjiawan Natural Village, Nanbeihu Village, Nanbeihu Scenic Area. Dating back to the first year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1821), it is categorized as an ancient building.

On May 22, 2000, Xijian Thatched Cottage was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haiyan County.

Nanbeihu Village: Nanbeihu Village was formed through the merger of the former Nanhubei Village and Beihubei Village. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side, sharing the same area as the provincial-level scenic spot, Nanbeihu Scenic Area. The village covers a total area of 10.8 square kilometers and has a population of 2,745, including 116 Party members. In 2001, it was listed as a county-level ecological village, in 2003 as a municipal-level ecological village, in 2004 as a village under the “Ten-Hundred Project” renovation program, in 2005 as a “Five-Good Party Branch” and a provincial-level model village for agritainment, and in 2006 as a provincial-level model village for well-off society construction, a municipal-level greening demonstration village, and a provincial-level greening demonstration...
