Baibu Kiln Mound Site
The Baibu Kiln Mound Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Haiyan County.
The Baibu Kiln Mound Site is located in Qianjiabang Natural Village, Group 1, Beigang, Taobei Village, Baibu Town. It dates back to the Neolithic Age and is classified as an ancient ruin.
On January 3, 2003, the Baibu Kiln Mound Site was designated as a cultural heritage site under the protection of Haiyan County.
Baibu Economic Development Zone (Baibu Town): Baibu — the town became a market settlement in the late Qing Dynasty. The “Haiyan County Annals” from the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty already recorded Baipo Pavilion (also known as Baibu Pavilion), indicating a long history and rich culture.
Baibu Town is located in the western part of Haiyan County, adjacent to Haining City, and is part of the Shanghai Economic Open Zone in the Yangtze River Delta. It is 137 kilometers east of Shanghai and 80 kilometers south of Hangzhou. The town covers an area of 64.71 square kilometers and has a population of 35,148.
Baibu enjoys superior natural conditions and has long been known as the “Land of Fish and Rice, and Home of Silk.” Since the reform and opening up, Baibu’s economy has developed rapidly.
