Xichangbang Site
The Xichangbang Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Haiyan County.
The Xichangbang Site is located in Xichangbang Natural Village, Lianxin Village, Tongyuan Town. It dates back to the Neolithic Age and is classified as an ancient site.
On June 11, 2010, the Xichangbang Site was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haiyan County.
Tongyuan Town: Tongyuan Town is situated in the southwest of Haiyan County. To the east, it borders Qingshan Town; to the south, it neighbors Ganhui Town; to the west, it connects with Yuanhua Town of Haining City; and to the north, it links with Wuyuan and Yucheng towns. Within its jurisdiction, the Jiaxing East-West Avenue runs from northeast to southwest, while the Yu Highway stretches from north to south. Additionally, it serves as the starting point of the Liupingshen waterway, offering convenient transportation. The town government is located on South Street of Tongyuan Township.
Agricultural production primarily focuses on grain and oil crops, silkworm breeding, and animal husbandry, with silkworm breeding and animal husbandry being the main sources of income for local farmers.
