The Tangjiamuqiao River Wharf is located 10 meters north of the Tangjiamuqiao Bridge in Wusheng Village, Shendang Town. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era, it is classified as an ancient structure.

On June 11, 2010, the Tangjiamuqiao River Wharf was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haiyan County.

Shendang Town: A Jiangnan ancient town—Shendang Town is situated on the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay within Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province, neighboring the international metropolis of Shanghai. It lies close to the provincial scenic area “South-North Lake” and the world-renowned “Tidal Bore of Haining.” With a history tracing back to the 25th year of Qin Shi Huang’s reign (222 BC), it is now an economic hub and political-cultural center in the northwest of Haiyan County. The town covers a total area of 61.87 square kilometers, with a population of 36,000, including an urban area of 3.02 square kilometers.
