The Qian Family Ancestral Hall in Zhongqian is located in Shendang Town, Haiyan County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.
On January 13, 2017, it was announced by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province as part of the seventh batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.
Shendang Town: This ancient town in the Jiangnan region—Shendang Town—is situated in Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province, on the northern shore of Hangzhou Bay, adjacent to the international metropolis of Shanghai. The provincial scenic area “South-North Lake” and the natural wonder “Haining Tidal Bore” are nearby. The town’s founding history can be traced back to the 25th year of the reign of Qin Shi Huang (222 BC), and today it serves as an economic hub and the political and cultural center of northwestern Haiyan County. The town covers a total area of 61.87 square kilometers, with a population of 36,000, including a town area of 3.02 square kilometers. It governs 10 administrative villages and one neighborhood residents' committee.
