The Shengjiadai Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Zhejiang Province.

The Shengjiadai Site is located in Shengjiadai Natural Village, Anxing Village, Yanguan Town, Haining. It belongs to the Liangzhu Culture of the Neolithic Age and dates back approximately 4,500 years. It was discovered in March 1978, and trial excavations were carried out in April the same year. One pit tomb was excavated, unearthing nine burial items such as tripods, gui vessels, double-spout pots, and ring-footed basins. In 1989, a joint Sino-Japanese archaeological team conducted a survey at the site, collecting samples including red pottery tripod feet in a “T” shape, gray pottery gui vessels, single-handled pots, ring-footed basins, double-spout pots, as well as jade pendants and jade beads.

Drilling surveys during the third national cultural relics census indicated that the site is roughly 130 meters long from east to west, 110 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of about 14,000 square meters. The topsoil layer is about 1.2 meters thick, and the cultural layer is also around 1.2 meters deep. The cultural layer is rich in content, with numerous pieces of fired earth and relatively thick layers of plant ash soil. The site is generally well-preserved, and its geographical location is unique — the Qiantang River lies just 2 kilometers to the south. It serves as rare and important material for research in geographical environment archaeology.

In March 2005, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Units.

Anxing Village: Located in the central-southern part of Yanguan Town, Haining, Anxing Village is traversed by both Guanchao Avenue and Chuhai River. It borders Xinxing Village to the east, Zhongxin Village to the south, Chengbei Village to the west, and Taoyuan Village to the north. The village also has a town-level road, Liancheng Road, which intersects through the area, providing convenient water and land transportation. The village covers a total area of 3 square kilometers, with arable land spanning 1,962 mu, and includes 16 villager groups with a total population of 2,147.

With economic development, the village’s total industrial and agricultural income has continued to rise, and living standards have improved steadily. In 2006, the per capita income reached 8,047 yuan, doubling over the past decade... More detailed information about Anxing Village++
