The Site of Qianjin Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.
The Site of Qianjin Pavilion is located in Taoyuan Village, Yanguan Town, and dates back to the Neolithic Age. It is classified as an ancient site.
On February 16, 1982, the Site of Qianjin Pavilion was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.
Taoyuan Village: Taoyuan Village is situated in the central part of Yanguan Town, Haining City — a famous tidal bore viewing destination — on the south side of Provincial Highway 01. It lies 20 kilometers from downtown Haining. The village was formed through the merger of the former three villages: Taoyuan, Zhonglian, and Lianhua. It is a plain village covering a total area of 5.7 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 26 villager groups. The village has 1,132 farming households, a total population of 4,401, and 173 Communist Party members. The village Party committee consists of three branches (the Agricultural Branch, the Senior Citizens Branch, and the Enterprise Branch of Taoyuan Village), and currently has seven village officials and one university-graduate official.
