The Yanguan Taoyuan Site is located in Taoyuan Village, Yanguan Town, dating back to the Neolithic Age, and is classified as an ancient site.

On February 16, 1982, the Yanguan Taoyuan Site was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.

Taoyuan Village: Located in the central part of Yanguan Town, Haining City—a famous tidal bore viewing destination—the village lies south of Provincial Highway 01, 20 kilometers from downtown Haining. It is a plains village formed by the merger of the former Taoyuan, Zhonglian, and Lianhua villages, covering a total area of 5.7 square kilometers. The village governs 26 villager groups, with 1,132 households, a total population of 4,401, and 173 Communist Party members. The village Party committee consists of three branches (the Agricultural Branch, the Senior Citizens Branch, and the Enterprise Branch of Taoyuan Village), and currently has seven village cadres and one university-graduate cadre.
