Chang’an Hongqiao is a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.

Chang’an Hongqiao is located on Zhongjie Street in Chang’an Town. It was built in 1851 and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

On October 8, 1984, Chang’an Hongqiao was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.

Chang’an Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Haining City. Established as the Chang’an People’s Commune in 1958, it was restructured as a county-administered town in 1961, and in 1992, Chang’an Township was merged into it. Covering an area of 43.1 square kilometers with a population of 52,000, it is traversed by the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway. The town administers 16 village committees: Chushi, Dongchen, Yancang, Luer, Tianming, Hongjin, Xinmin, Vegetable Village, Laoguan, Dongguan, Wandu, Weiguo, Xiaowang, Jinqiao, Mugang, and Fishermen. Its industries mainly produce white raw silk, machinery, electric fans, copper and iron padlocks, leather garments, and metal rolling products.
