Xieshi Subdistrict: Situated on the Hangjiahu Plain, Xieshi Subdistrict was historically known as Xiashi. The name was changed to Xieshi during the Tang Dynasty due to the presence of two mountains, one to the east and one to the west. In the sixth year of the Yonghui era of the Song Dynasty (655), Xieshi Town was established; in the eleventh year of the Kaiyuan era (723), Xieshi Market was set up. It was re-established as Xieshi Town during the Huichang era (841–844) and as Xieshi Stockade in the fourth year of the Jianyan era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1130). The area has long been known for its strong academic tradition, simple folk customs, and numerous notable figures. It is home to cultural landmarks such as the former residences of Xu Zhimo and Zhang Zongxiang, as well as the Qian Juntao Art Research Museum. Xieshi lanterns are also widely renowned.

The subdistrict borders Yuanhua Town and Baibu Town of Haiyan County to the east, connects to Maqiao Subdistrict to the south, and lies to the west... More detailed information about Xieshi Subdistrict ++
