The Jilongdun Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.

The Jilongdun Site is located in Jilongdun Residential Area, Liyuan Community, Xiashi Subdistrict. Dating back to the Neolithic Age to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient site.

On August 11, 2010, the Jilongdun Site was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Haining City.

Xiashi Subdistrict: Located on the Hangjiahu Plain, Xiashi Subdistrict got its name when the area, originally called Xiashi, was renamed during the Tang Dynasty due to the presence of two mountains, one to the east and one to the west. In the sixth year of the Yonghui era of the Song Dynasty (655), Xiashi Town was established; in the eleventh year of the Kaiyuan era (723), Xiashi Market was set up; during the Huichang era (841–844), Xiashi Town was re-established; and in the fourth year of the Jianyan era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1130), Xiashi Stockade was formed. The area has a long-standing tradition of scholarship, a simple and honest folk culture, and has produced many notable figures. It is home to cultural landmarks such as the former residences of Xu Zhimo and Zhang Zongxiang, as well as the Qian Juntao Art Research Museum. Xiashi lanterns are also widely renowned.
