The Zhijiaqiao Site
The Zhijiaqiao Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jiaxing City.
The Zhijiaqiao Site is located about 50 meters west of Xujiaqiao in Xiliu Village (formerly Zhijiaqiao Village), Fengqiao Town, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City. The site is bordered by rivers on the west and north sides, covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters with an irregular shape. Its cultural layers span from the Neolithic Liangzhu Culture all the way to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. Currently, the site is mainly planted with crops such as rapeseed and mulberry trees by local villagers, with scattered pottery shards on the ground. The site has a long history and a rich variety of cultural types, making it of high historical and scientific value. It was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit of Jiaxing City in 1981.
Xiliu Village: Xiliu Village is located in the southeastern part of Fengqiao Town, about one kilometer from the Xinzhuang exit of the Zhajiasu Expressway. It borders Chenliang Village to the east, Qicheng Village to the south, and Lianfeng Village to the west, and is one kilometer from the Dong exit of the Zhajiasu Expressway in Fengqiao. The village covers an area of 7.96 square kilometers, with 40 villager groups, 1,113 households, and a population of 4,044. It has 7,755 mu of arable land, 110 Party members, and a village leadership team of five members. The total rural economic income of the village is 275 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers is 21,627 yuan.
