Goucheng Mountain

Goucheng Mountain is located in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, at the border between Yiwu and Zhuji. It belongs to the Kuaiji Mountain Range. With overlapping green peaks, flowing streams, towering ancient trees, and lush bamboo forests, the area boasts a beautiful environment and enchanting scenery. It has a profound historical and cultural heritage, including the legendary site where King Goujian of Yue endured hardship while lying on firewood and tasting gall. There are also a thousand-year-old king ginkgo tree, an eight-hundred-year-old podocarpus tree, and a pristine forest oxygen bar, making it an ideal destination for summer retreats, vacation travel, and exploring cultural heritage. The hustle and bustle of the city completely disappears here. Along the way, you’ll see wine banners and vast fields of sorghum. Though the apricot-yellow mountain lodge banners may seem somewhat artificially contrived, they still blend well with the surrounding mountain hues. Dao Ren Peak lies near the Yue Mountains, standing tall, with a Taoist temple hidden among the trees near its summit, its vermilion and grayish-white walls still visible. The Dao Ren Teahouse is located at the foot of the mountain, serving as our resting place. Surrounded by bamboo groves and tea plantations, the entire teahouse is decorated with bamboo. The entrance has a somewhat rustic and minimalist charm. The teahouse is a four-sided courtyard with bamboo walls and a bamboo roof. In the center of the courtyard stands a statue of Laozi reading a book, nestled among flowers and plants, complemented by a carved “Dao” character.
